Matrix Mate is deliberately simple. The process has one physical action at its core — a scan. Everything that follows is handled by the platform, MM8, and the IUM record that builds with every interaction.
Matrix Mate retrieves the OEM record.
When a new IUM is created, a Matrix Mate team member contacts the original equipment manufacturer directly — using the equipment serial number — and retrieves everything the manufacturer holds on that item. Age, warranty status, service history, approved consumables. This is a human-verified process. The operator does not chase paperwork. The platform does it for them. Before a single scan is made, MM8 already knows the equipment.

A durable, purpose-built QR sticker is permanently affixed to each piece of equipment. The tag carries the IUM number. No app download needed. Any smartphone. Any staff member.
